Henry Victor Van Walleghem was born in Marialoop, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, March 18, 1866 to Edouard VAN WALLEGHEM and Marie Louise BRAL. Ordained to the Holy Priesthood at Bruges, May 21, 1891. After acting for some years as professor at the College of St. Louis in Bruges, he became pastor of Ghent, MN, Archdiocese of St. Paul in 1905. On a visit to his native country he passed away suddenly at Bruges, March 1, 1930.
His brother Julius also emigrated the USA.
